El-Nashar Dental Care had their 14th annual team day held at Edgemoor Hotel, Bovey Tracey on Friday 3rd November.
The day is held for the team to get together and focus on how the last year has gone, as well as discussing what we want to achieve in the next year.
We discussed how we can continue to improve the patient care and services that we provide. We also use it as an opportunity to update the staff on clinical standards and this year we focussed on CQC requirements to ensure that the whole team is working to the same standard.
We took part in various team exercises which helped us to set next year’s business objectives and look at what makes El-Nashar Dental Care different to other practices.
There were 26 members of staff that attended the day and when the team were asked to write down what they liked most about working at El-Nashar Dental Care, overwhelmingly they all said the team of people they work with (see above image).

El-Nashar Dental Care Charity Ball 2014
Our charity ball at the Passage House Hotel was held on Saturday 14th June.
The evening started with a welcome drink on the patio, provided by Mr Maurice Young. Then following a 3 course dinner there was a raffle, a silent auction and Casino.
Over 150 local people attended and we raised £6,300 for our charities!!
This year half will be given to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and half to the Olivia Holmes Foundation, a local children’s cancer charity.

Sponsored Walk 2013
On Sunday 13th October 2013 a group of 20+ El-Nashar Dental Care staff, family and friends, walked from the Dawlish Railway Station to the Double Locks in Exeter, a total of 11 miles to raise money for the Rowcroft Hospice.
A grand total of £1,287 was raised!

Half Marathon 2013
Joline, ran the Bath Half Marathon on the 3rd March 2013 in 2 hours 11 minutes raising £360 for Cancer Research.
Rowcroft Big Bake
During the run up to Easter we took part in the Rowcroft Big Bake
staff made cakes and cookies to sell to patients and each other!
We raised a grand total of £138.90!!
We have been asking patients to leave their feedback for the chance to win a bottle of prosecco.
Each week in April we chose a winner and here are the first two who have collected their bottle!

Dental hygienists and dental therapists can carry out their full scope of practice without prescription and without the patient having to see a dentist first.
Patients who are not registered with our practice and who either have another dentist or have no dentist at all can call and make an appointment direct with our Hygienist to have their teeth cleaned.
